CCS | Compass Corporate Services are exclusively working with a private healthcare organisation on the appointment of their Head of Learning & Development. This exciting job opportunity requires someone who is driven to deliver excellence across the organisation from a training and development prospective.

Overview
This Head of Learning and Development post requires a talented, forward thinking and proactive L&D professional, to provide; leadership, advice and guidance across the company. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading an award winning L&D and training team who are driven on delivering the top quality training.

Working alongside with the SMT and Service Managers, you'll need to be proactive in; Conducting training needs analysis, identifying funding opportunities, budget management, managing and leading the L&D team ensuring their continual development and training is up to date, whilst ensuring compliance across the group.

This is both a strategic and operational position and will be responsible for the training and development across the business, which will include elements of having to have a hands on approach in delivering services, some of which include;

  • Mandatory training and E-Learning
  • Vocational qualifications
  • Professional development
  • Assessing and verifying

This organisation provide care to a variety of specialist needs which includes learning disabilities, acquired brain injury (ABI), adult and elderly care across the England and Wales. Ideally, we are looking for someone who holds experience delivering training and managing a training team within this sector space.

Due to the nature of the role and the location of the services the successful applicant must; hold a full and valid driving license, be willing to travel nationally, work remotely and have access to their own vehicle.

Essential Criteria

  • Experienced in delivering training within the Health & Social care sector
  • A strategic and forward thinking L&D professional who is hands on
  • Training qualification(s) i.e. PTLLS / CTLLS / DTLLS, CET / AET / DET, CertEd, PGCE
  • Experienced in managing/leading a Learning & Development team, remotely
  • Ability to travel and work away from home
  • Hold a full and valid driving licence with access to own vehicle

Highly Desirable Criteria

  • Hold an assessing qualification
  • Hold a verification qualification

Note: This role will require travel across the UK. Overnight stays on occasion, may also be required.
