Estates Manager – Luxury Care Home

During Lockdown, CCS were approached by a pre-eminent Luxury Care Home Provider to source an exceptional Estates Manager, as part of a newly created role in the organisation.

Reporting into the Property Development Director, the Estates Manager would be responsible for supporting home manager and head office colleagues in all aspects of property maintenance and development. The role would also see the successful candidate manage refurbishment projects up to £2m in value, including provision of specifications, employer requirements, consultant appointments, valuations and payments. Therefore, MCIOB / MRICS qualification was essential, along with a background in the social care sector.

4 candidates were seen as part of the interview process, with the successful candidate identified after the first stage, such was the quality of the candidate. Given the circumstances with COVID, and the changing Provider priorities, the role was put on hold for the best part of half a year, but CCS were able to keep the identified candidate engaged – resulting in the successful joining before the end of 2020.
